Course objectives:
In this course, you will learn about how to communicate with purpose and passion. Communication is heavily nuanced and learning the why, how and what of successful communication strategies is critical for a leader to be successful. It is said that it is impossible to over-communicate and this is true but only if its the right kind of overcommunication. How to be clear, authentic, caring and honest when giving feedback and when receiving it are special skills to develop. And, no communication is as important as the communication you have with yourself.
Specifically, course faculty will cover:
· How to “Say what you mean and mean what you say”
· Situational communication based on your role, responsibilities, career stage, career aspirations.
· Having many arrows in your communication quiver enables you to be a very effective communicator.
· How to give feedback to your team members
· How to communicate with care and kindness
· How to imprint your values into your team through the ways you communicate
· How to receive feedback as a leader and communicate feedback to your team members
· How to communicate with yourself
· How to extend your self-communication to be an authentic and respected leader
